Balwandarra means 'Swim or float' in my Wiradjuri language. This little mate was inspired by a recent trip to Yamba, which is the traditional and original home of the Bundjalang, Gumbaynggirr, and Yaegl people,
I'm regularly asked to paint turtles. However, in order to maintain integrity in my work, I first need to make a connection. We each hold space and maintain mutual respect for land, sea, and sky.
